Easter Seals Tri-Counties teamed up again with Vons/Pavilions to raise money for children and adults with disabilities. During its annual campaign, Safeway Inc., operator of Vons and Pavilions markets in Southern California, held a monthlong charitable fundraising campaign in support of Easter Seals. After raising more than $1 million in 2010, Vons/Pavilions raised more than $1.47 million for Easter Seals, $221,594 of which will go directly to Easter Seals Tri-Counties.
At more than 20 stores throughout the Tri-Counties area, customers had the option at every checkout counter of making a contribution to Easter Seals.
Through a variety of programs, including physical therapy, rehabilitation, early intervention infant development and child care, Easter Seals Tri-Counties has served more than 100,000 individuals in the surrounding community, as well as families who travel from other parts of Southern California to receive treatment that is not available to them in their cities.
